Walking and Nutrition Groups

Are you looking for a way to exercise while at the same time socializing with others, having fun and learning nutritional tips all at the same time? Join one of my walking/nutrition groups. These groups run for 8 weeks, meeting once a week for about an hour each time. Every week there will be a 20 minute nutrition seminar on a variety of topics followed by the walk. The goal of the walk will be to gradually increase the distance to 5 KM.

 

Pre-registration required. 

 

The cost is $65/person, due in full at the first class. 

 

Payment may be made by cash or visa.  The weekly classes will run rain, snow or shine, so dress accordingly.

Tell all of your friends, family, neighbours and co-workers about these walking and nutrition groups. If one of them registers for a program, you will save 20% off of the cost, that is a $13 dollar savings! You would only pay $52 for the 8 week program. 

 

 

Schedule of Weekly Nutrition Topics:

Each class will begin with a 20-30 minute seminar followed by the walk.

Week #1 - The Canada Food Guide explained and how best to use it for maximum results.

Week #2 - How to get the most out of your workouts. The importance of water and easy tips to increase your intake.

Week #3 - The importance of fibre and where and how to include it into your daily diet.

Week #4 - Weight loss tips that work.

Week #5 - How to improve digestion and increase your body's absorption of nutrients.

Week #6 - How to increase your energy levels by choosing the right foods and avoiding the harmful foods.

Week #7 - Tips to strengthen your immune system and ward off illness.

Week #8 - The importance of probiotics and the essential fatty acids to your health.
